Muah Chee (local Singapore snack)

Muah Chee is a traditional snack made of glutinous rice, usually mixed with crushed peanuts and sugar. We see it around in Singapore and is one of my favourite local snack. You can also use black sesame powder mix. It taste similar to Japanese Mochi.

My friend shared this recipe with me. It taste so good! I dont think I will ever need to buy Muah Chee again. I will just make it myself.😆😆😆

Ingredients – Serves 3/4

120g glutinous rice flour

180ml water

2 tablespoons of cooking oil

150g of peanut/sugar mix

Method

1. Mix the glutinous rice flour, water and oil in a microwavable bowl and microwave for 3.5 minutes. You will get a sticky white paste.

2. Pour the peanut/sugar mix into another bowl. Cut the sticky paste into small cubes and coat them well with the mix.

3. Ready to serve!
